Connecting a Chromebook to the eduSTAR Wireless Network
Follow these steps to connect your Chromebook to the eduSTAR Wi-Fi network.
Step 1: Select the Network
Click the Wi-Fi icon in the bottom-right corner of your Chromebook screen.
Select the
"eduSTAR" Wi-Finetwork network.from the available networks.
• Change the
"EAP method"method toto: "PEAP" in the drop-down menu.PEAP
• Change
the "EAP Phase 2 authentication"authentication toto: "MSCHAPv2" in the drop-down menu.MSCHAPv2
• Change
the "Server CA Certificate"Certificate toto: "Do not check" in the drop-down menu.check
• In the
"Identify"Identity field, type
in your
wrcWRC account username
(e.g.,
TIM0022).
• In the
"Password"Password field, type your WRC account password.
• Leave
the "Anonymous Identity" fieldIdentity blank.
Ensure • Leave "Save Identity and password"Password is checked.
Step 3: Connect
Press
“Connect”PressConnect.
Accept and
Continuecontinue tothrough Google’s Terms of Service
if prompted.
Step 4: Verify and Configure Proxy (if required)
Navigate to the
bottombottom-right rightcorner of the
screen,screen pressand click the
WifiWi-Fi iconPressicon.
Click the
gearsgear onicon next to the eduSTAR network (now connected)
.
The Proxy options should appear in the popup dialog
for configuration if needed.
Tip: If you experience connectivity issues, restart your Chromebook and repeat the steps above. Contact the IT department if problems persist.
