VASS Access Process (Legacy System)

Note: VASS is an outdated system relying on software abandoned in 1996. Follow these steps carefully.

1. Enable Internet Explorer Compatibility in Edge

1. Open Microsoft Edge.
2. Go to Settings → Default Browser → Internet Explorer Compatibility.
3. Add the VASS URL to the compatibility list: https://www.vass.vic.edu.au/
4. Save changes.
   Reason: VASS only supports Internet Explorer versions < 8.0, which allows login functionality.

2. Install ScriptX.Services

1. Download ScriptX.Services from MeadCo:
   https://support.meadroid.com/Downloads/ScriptXServices/Download
2. Run the installer and complete installation.
   Reason: VASS relies on legacy IE plugin functionality, now only provided via ScriptX.Services.

3. Pray to the Deus Ex Machina

• VASS is a relic. After completing the above steps, devote prayers and hope it functions as intended.

• Open VASS in Edge using [https://kb.wrc.vic.edu.au/books/guides/page/internet-explorer-mode-in-microsoft-edge](IE mode).
• Test key functionality (login, menu navigation, and legacy plugins).
