Process: Laptop Borrowing – Forgotten or No Device

1. Student Requests a Loan Device

When a student does not have their device (forgotten or no device available):

  1. Open Chronicle.
  2. Use the template: "Laptop Borrowing – Forgotten or No Device".
  3. Submit the entry.
  4. Chronicle automatically sends the standard email to parent/guardian each time this template is used.

2. Tracking Repeat Requests

  • Keep count of how many times the student has requested a loan device using this template.

3. When the Student Reaches 10 Loan Requests

Once the student has used the loan service 10 times: for the same Reason

  1. Use the "Laptop Borrowing – Forgotten or No Device" template again.
  2. Before submitting, click Notification Chain.
  3. Add the Year Level Sub-School Leader.
  4. The Sub-School Leader will:
    • Review the student's borrowing pattern
    • Check the student's circumstances and needs
    • Identify what support or solutions the school can offer to help the student obtain a device
