Process: Laptop Borrowing – Forgotten or No Device
1. Student Requests a Loan Device
When a student does not have their device (forgotten or no device available):
- Open Chronicle.
- Use the template: "Laptop Borrowing – Forgotten or No Device".
- Submit the entry.
- Chronicle automatically sends the standard email to parent/guardian each time this template is used.
2. Tracking Repeat Requests
- Keep count of how many times the student has requested a loan device using this template.
3. When the Student Reaches 10 Loan Requests
Once the student has used the loan service 10 times: for the same Reason
- Use the "Laptop Borrowing – Forgotten or No Device" template again.
- Before submitting, click Notification Chain.
- Add the Year Level Sub-School Leader.
- The Sub-School Leader will:
- Review the student's borrowing pattern
- Check the student's circumstances and needs
- Identify what support or solutions the school can offer to help the student obtain a device
